Description:
These are thin hand potted porcelain plate with short profile footrim.  Its precise and finely painted decoration of three Japanese Shishi dogs in various position playing among scrolling flower vine.  The rim has remnant of
applied
gilt.  The reverse has decoration of a continous scrolling vine.
I’m more certain that these are from Edo period, second half of 18thC.  However, the lack of kiln’s spur marks give me a little hesitation. That’s why my dating is 19thC (late Edo to Meiji period)
Plate marked “1B” has small chip.  Everything else is in very good condition with no cracks or hairline.
